A wide, quiet meadow an hour from Srinagar that most itineraries still miss.

Doodhpathri — 'the valley of milk' — is a broad grassy meadow with a shallow stream running through it, about 45 km from Srinagar. There is very little built here, which is the point. It works well as a half-day escape when Gulmarg and Pahalgam feel too busy.
