A quieter, higher lake in the Changthang plateau, well away from the crowds.

Tso Moriri lies at 4,522 m in the Changthang Wildlife Sanctuary, a long drive south-east of Leh. It gets a fraction of Pangong's visitors. Korzok on its shore is one of the highest permanently inhabited villages anywhere, and the wetland draws bar-headed geese and black-necked cranes in summer.
