About this trip

Baltal is the short route — around 14 km each way, and possible as a single long day for those who are fit. It is significantly steeper than the Pahalgam approach.

The same Shrine Board registration and health certificate requirements apply. We arrange stay at Baltal, transport and ground support.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive Srinagar

    Airport pickup, overnight in Srinagar and document check.

  2. Day 2

    Srinagar to Baltal

    Drive via Sonamarg to the Baltal base camp. Rest and prepare for an early start.

  3. Day 3

    Baltal to cave and back

    Early start for the climb to the holy cave, darshan, and return to Baltal. A long day.

  4. Day 4

    Return to Srinagar

    Drive back to Srinagar for departure.
